An entrepreneur who bankrolled Irish whiskey start-up Natterjack has failed to unseat an interim examiner appointed to rescue the business from bankruptcy. US businessman Joe Elias, for Cowcub Ltd, opposed the move to salvage the insolvent company over claims its directors had sought court protection for improper purposes based on a “deeply flawed” narrative.  KPMG partner Shane McCarthy was installed earlier this month as interim examiner to Gortinore Distillery Ltd, which owns two whiskey products that retail under the Natterjack brand.
