Glanbia is suing a supplier for €3.2 million for allegedly providing a highly dangerous contaminated batch of salt. The food group claims it received a highly defective delivery of pure dried vacuum salt for use at its cheese making facilities in Co Wexford and Co Kilkenny in and around August 2020.  It is claimed 17 shards of wood were discovered by employees on August 19 upon a 3 milimetre salt screen sieve at the factory in Ballyragget, Kilkenny.
