Mary Robinson’s tearful pleas were not enough.   For all the political, economic and societal momentum behind more radical climate action, the outcome of COP26 means that we are still on course for catastrophe. At best, current policies will lead to 2.7 degrees of warming and an uninhabitable planet for up to 3 billion people.
