Last January eighteen-year-old Greg Tarr won the overall 2021 BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition by building software to detect deepfakes using artificial intelligence. After winning the event, Tarr said he was torn between going to university or becoming an entrepreneur. Eight months later, after completing his Leaving Cert in Bandon Grammar School in Cork, Tarr has decided to go for entrepreneurship and start his own business.
