Combined, the two headline figures from the last Daft.ie report paint a powerful picture of a market starved of supply. Overall, rents rose between March and June by 2.4 per cent. This three-month increase is the biggest such gain in nearly three years, and it comes just after another 2 per cent increase between December and June. As of mid-2021, rents were 5.6 per cent higher than a year previously – the highest year-on-year increase since the middle of 2019.
