We really like to complain in Ireland. If the Joe Duffy show is too public for you, there is always a WhatsApp group where venting is celebrated – or why not go old-school and write a strongly worded letter. I was lucky, Covid-19 did not negatively affect my life. My only real complaint is that my preferred platform for complaining – the Irish pub – has been largely off-limits. This has given me time to think. When the pubs fully reopen and I finally get a semi-attentive audience of friends who sometimes feel obliged to listen, what is the killer…
