It was more like being immersed in a sound installation than standing in a corridor of the Four Courts. In the distance was the faint noise of an instrument being played. Muffled televised voices wafted through the walls of the Supreme Court where a remote hearing was in session. Otherwise, there was silence but for the footsteps of the odd passerby.
