One of the country’s largest indigenous whiskey companies has filed a judicial review case against An Bord Pleanála over its decision to quash planning for maturation warehouses near Leap in Co Cork.  Cork County Council originally granted permission for West Cork Distillers’ proposed storage complex in January 2023, subject to 43 conditions. It had looked for permission for 12 warehouses, but the council granted permission for six structures.
