Gillian Fanning is in the driver’s seat as the first woman ever to be appointed president the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (Simi) in its 98-year history. Fanning officially took up the role on Tuesday and was previously deputy president of Simi, which is the official voice of the motor industry in Ireland.
