Pharma giant AstraZeneca has pumped $3.5 billion (€3.4 billion) into an Irish subsidiary as it moves ahead with a new manufacturing facility in Dublin, due to be completed in 2026. Documents recently filed with the Companies Registration Office show AstraZeneca putting $800 million into a newly created Irish subsidiary at the end of last year. It is the latest cash injection by its parent into the unit, AstraZeneca Ireland Limited, bringing the total to $3.5 billion to date.
