Although infrastructure delivery emerges as a central theme of the new Programme for Government, it takes careful trawling through its 162 pages to weed out the non-commital, the old, and the obvious (we learn that “the Government is committed to the roll-out of high-speed broadband under the National Broadband Plan” as it nears completion) and picture what Fianna Fáil, Fine Gael and the Regional Independents intend to do when they state that “stable, long-term delivery of essential infrastructure is a priority for the Government”.
