Suir Engineering’s first acquisition in the UK will act as an “accelerant” to its plans to expand its footprint in the country, chief executive John Kelly told The Currency. The Waterford-based business has acquired Scottish mechanical and electric engineering business Taylor & Fraser for an undisclosed sum. Taylor & Fraser has operated as a family-run business for the past 114 years.
