Uber has let go 140 staff in Limerick as the ride-sharing giant cuts its global headcount by 3,000 people. The San Francisco-based company said yesterday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission it was letting go another 3,000 jobs on top of 3,700 people previously fired earlier this month. Limerick had largely escaped the first round of jobs cuts but now about 140 of its 500-plus staff have been let go.
