2025 appears to promise much for Irish banking, an industry that has largely been defined by high-profile exits in recent years. Spain’s Bankinter is in the midst of turning its subsidiary brand Avant Money into a fully-fledged bank in the Irish market. Meanwhile, Revolut, the British fintech with three million Irish users, will make Ireland one of its first forays into mortgage lending. To add further intrigue, Revolut competitor Monzo wants to bring its hugely successful coral pink cards into the Irish market in the hope that it will act as a gateway to the rest of the European markets.…
