For 24 years, the same four provincial clubs have represented Ireland in various iterations of a cross-border league alongside teams from Scotland and Wales. This league has undergone multiple name changes, evolving from the “Celtic League” through monikers like “Magners League,” “Rabo”/”Guinness Pro12,” “Pro 14,” and now the “United Rugby Championship”.
