I met the photographer Shane Lynam a few years after he returned from Paris to live in Dublin. Lynam had already embarked on a project to document, through photography, how Dublin was changing. It was a point in history, Dublin as it emerged from the financial crash, and Lynam did not know yet where the project would lead him or how long it would take.
