UFP Technologies, the US-listed medical device services firm, has acquired Meath’s AQF Medical. AQF Medical makes technical foam and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) packaging and mainly serves the medical device sector. The Meath-based business was a portfolio company of Renatus Capital Partners, the private equity firm. No financial terms have been disclosed. With the deal, UFP is acquiring a specialist in the types of packaging needed for medical devices thanks to the Irish company’s product offering.
