The Square shopping centre in Tallaght was valued at €640 million in 2007, admittedly the peak of Celtic Tiger hubris. In 2019, Nama sold the property to the investment house Oaktree for €250 million. We did not know it at the time, but this was around the peak of the post-crash commercial property.  In recent days, Eagle Street Partners, the property asset manager founded by two former senior Glenveagh Properties executives, was selected as the preferred bidder to buy the shopping centre out of receivership.
