The liquidators of the Irish arm of failed German electronic payments group Wirecard have initiated a High Court challenge against the Irish tax authority in an effort to recover tens of millions of euro in withheld corporation tax refunds. Wirecard UK and Ireland Limited, a Dublin-registered company that collapsed into liquidation in October 2020, has taken a judicial review case against the Revenue Commissioners.  The case was lodged yesterday, with Wirecard UK and Ireland Limited retaining the law firm Dentons to manage the case.  The Irish arm of the failed German group is now under the control of James Anderson…
