Masterlink, one of the country’s largest logistics firms, is lining up an acquisition of its rival Securispeed. The companies alerted the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission of the proposed acquisition today. A notice submitted to the watchdog details plans by Masterlink Logistics Limited to acquire several companies under the banner of Securispeed Group Limited. The combined company would have north of €115 million in annual revenue and bring together hundreds of staff. Masterlink, formed in 1992 in Cork, is a subsidiary of Rosebys Limited, which includes several logistics operations including a number of Masterlink companies.
