On Monday, Roderic O’Gorman chaired an online forum for Green candidates at the recent local elections. A small number had made it over the line, but most of the candidates had failed to get elected. O’Gorman, the integration minister, gave each participant the chance to offer their assessment of what had gone wrong both at a national level (the party also lost its two sitting MEPs) and at a local level (with the party losing 26 of the 49 seats it previously held at local government level).
