Ryanair has lodged High Court proceedings against the Irish and Italian competition watchdogs following an unannounced inspection at the airline’s Dublin offices earlier this month. The March 8 inspection, attended by a team from the Italian AGCM (competition authority) and members of An Garda Síochána, forms part of an ongoing investigation by the Italian authority into potential breaches of EU competition law.  In a statement to The Currency, a Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) spokesperson confirmed: “The [legal] proceedings issued on March 21, 2024 relate to this inspection and no further comment can be made at this time.” A…
