The Murtagh family, which founded insulation group Kingspan, is poised to buy Buswells Hotel just off Kildare Street. The family came close to buying the hotel before Christmas 2022 but was unable to reach an agreement on price and pulled out. The headline price for the hotel at that stage was €22 million.  Last December, the Business Post reported that waste entrepreneur Eamon Waters had reached a deal to buy the hotel for €16.4 million.
