The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) is examining the results of a pan-European sweep of social media influencer accounts for possible breaches of advertising and consumer protection rules.  The national consumer protection authority joined counterparts in 22 other EU member countries, as well as Norwegian and Icelandic agencies, in examining the social media posts of 576 influencers across all major social media platforms. Some of the influencers targeted have big audiences, including 82 with over one million followers each.
