Once a year, my good friend Eva comes up with her word of the year. The exercise is two-fold. First, Eva is a person who is deeply contemplative about the world and her place in it. For her to be more intentional about the path that she is on, she uses her word of the year to think about the year that has just passed and specifically where she wants to go in the next year.
