Receivers have been appointed to Meathamatic Ltd, a company building a small housing development in Co Meath that hit the headlines in September when its promotors sought an extra €60,000 from potential homeowners. Spudmuckers Limited, which is owed €4.5 million by the company, has appointed accountants Ken Fennell and Kieran Wallace of Interpath Advsory as receivers to Meathamatic. Spudmuckers is an investment company backed by, among others, Joe Elias, a businessman who is also a director of Meathamatic.  Spudmukers is the largest creditor of Meathamatic, which hoped to develop the housing project of about 16 homes aimed at first-time buyers.…
