In March of this year, at the National Stadium Kingston, Jamaica all eyes were fixed on the face-off between the two speed queens Serena Cole and Alana Reid in the 100-metre final. The previous day Reid won her semi-final in 11.16 seconds, just a smidge faster than Cole’s 11.17.
