“Ryan pulls plug on N17 Upgrade” was The Sligo Champion’s front page lead story on Wednesday, May 17.  The report by the newspaper’s editor, Paul Deering, outlined how Eamon Ryan, the Minister for the Environment, Climate, Communications and Transport and Green Party leader, had said there would be no funding available for the scheme for many years.
