The Court of Appeal has dismissed an attempt by former Irish Nationwide Building Society (INBS) managing director Michael Fingleton to dismiss or permanently stay proceedings being taken against him by the liquidators of the society by reason of the passage of time and his severe ill health.  The Judgement of the Appeal Court which was published today concludes: “The Court is of the view that the appellant has not discharged the very high burden which he bears in an application of this kind.”  The court added: “He has not established that there is either a real or serious risk of…
