In June 2017, a dramatic dawn raid over unpaid debts ousted Paul and Margaret Coyle from their cake decorating business, Decobake. Premises in Dublin and Kildare were secured and the company was wound up by order of the High Court. Nearly three years on, until the lockdown, Decobake was still trading in liquidation – selling cake boxes and toppings and offering classes in piped flowers and scroll borders.
